|Google Analytics “blue map” of Advanced Studies last 24 months
To answer the question: you are apparently all over the globe with a not unexpected majority of hits here in the United States.
We’ll continue to work to attract new readers in Madagascar and Papua New Guinea..among other places.
In the meantime, thank you for your readership and we’ll try to keep the focus appropriately global for our discussions.
I’ve posted this map several years ago, but it’s been long enough to note some new trends: while most of Advanced Studies readers continue to be in the US, we’ve made real gains in China, Russia and Australia.
Interestingly our readers in Europe tend not to be from the Nordic countries or from the Eurozone’s economically-stressed southern rim.
For an interesting correlation, check out this global pie chart on shares of total world R&D, here.
I continue to be really gratified by Advanced Studies global audience over the years. It continues to be a labor of love on this end.
Here’s a map from Google analytics on where you are. A lot of our readers are, of course, here in the United States but you are also in Russia, China, Europe, Canada and Iran! Thanks for your continuing interest in Advanced Studies and the Krasnow Institute for Advanced Study at George Mason.
Advanced Studies has a new look and feel as of today–hopefully a bit cleaner and less cluttered. In sympathy with those who produce slide-decks for talks with similar aesthetics.
Tomorrow is the day that, here in the US, we celebrate a holiday called Thanksgiving. Other than the preferred food (turkey which I find sort of bland), it’s a wonderful occasion to silently appreciate all the small and large things that actually are going well. There are many of them, not least, for me, is the pleasure of communicating with readers, new and old, here. Thank you. And Happy Thanksgiving!
